…Under Ӕ–EMF Coherence
Pre‑Registered Protocol & Numbers Sheet (v1)
August 12th, 2025
Prepared for open replication
Purpose
Demonstrate that the Law of Universal Coherence (Ӕ–EMF model), with constants frozen by an independent solar limb calibration, predicts the Sun’s disk‑center spectral line shift at the accepted gravitational‑redshift level without invoking space‑time curvature. This is a pre‑registered, single‑number test designed for straightforward pass/fail adjudication.
Frozen Constants
(From Independent Limb Fit)
• Ӕ misalignment threshold: θ_Ӕ^crit = 7.00° (fixed)
• Magnetic opacity break: B_crit = 0.160 T (fixed)
• Ӕ scaling from limb fit: k_Ӕ = 2.91×10⁻⁴ (Mpc·arb)⁻¹ (carried forward; no retuning)
• Spectral line for default replication: Fe I 6173 Å (HMI/SDO standard)
Inputs
(For Any Independent Replication)
• Quiet‑Sun disk‑center observations (μ≈1.0) of Fe I 6173 Å (or equivalent continuum‑forming line), with time stamps, cadence and instrumental profile
• Standard convective‑blueshift correction pipeline for the chosen line and instrument
• Metadata: observing day(s), activity masks and averaging window
Method
(Concise, Pre‑Registered)
1. Select quiet‑Sun pixels at disk center; average spectra over ≥1 hour to suppress 5‑min oscillations
2. Correct measured line centroid for convective blueshift and instrumental offsets using the line’s published calibration
3. Compute net disk‑center redshift v_obs (m/s). Also report fractional z_obs = v_obs/c
4. Ӕ–EMF prediction (no free parameters): v_pred = 632.5 ± 2.5 m/s (z_pred ≈ 2.11×10⁻⁶), using the frozen limb‑derived constants
5. Pass/Fail: PASS if |v_obs − 632.5| ≤ 20 m/s (and |z_obs − 2.11×10⁻⁶|
≤ 7×10⁻⁸)
Numbers Sheet
(v1 Defaults)
• Speed of light: c = 299,792,458 m/s
• Accepted gravitational‑redshift benchmark (quiet Sun, corrected):
≈ 633 m/s (z ≈ 2.12×10⁻⁶)
• Ӕ–EMF predicted band (frozen constants): 630–635 m/s → z_pred = (2.10–2.12)×10⁻⁶
• Reporting format:
– v_obs (m/s) with 1σ
– z_obs = v_obs/c
– Instrument, line, dates, correction references
Replication Checklist
(Check All)
□ Used quiet‑Sun masks at disk center (activity ≤ threshold)
□ Averaged ≥ 1 hr; removed p‑modes; documented cadence
□ Applied published convective‑blueshift and instrumental corrections
□ Reported v_obs, z_obs, uncertainties and metadata
□ Compared to PASS band without retuning any constant
Notes & Differentiators
• This test reuses constants fixed by limb darkening; it is not tuned to disk‑center data
• GR’s pure gravitational term is line‑independent; Ӕ–EMF allows small, structured line‑height dependencies, future differentiators we will publish as center‑to‑limb z(μ) curves
• A FAIL outcome (after proper corrections) would directly challenge the Ӕ–EMF universality claim
