Law Of Time In Physics

Statement

Time does not exist as a universal flow or entity. Time is a geometric relation arising only within mass, light and encounter. It is constructed locally and only measurable where mass, coherence and observation meet.

The Ontological Triangle of Time

The Sun (ℓ) provides the constant of coherence, presence. The Earth (m) provides the mass and orientation, structural identity. The Human Encounter provides the act of measuring or experiencing the relation between the first two. These three together form the only geometry in which time emerges. Without this triangle, without mass, coherence and encounter, time does not exist.

Disqualifying the Theoretical Substitute

Mainstream theoretical physics senses the need for three points but substitutes speculative constructs. The speed of light is treated as a particle or moving signal to complete the triangle’s path. Spacetime is treated as a fabric to hold time when no mass is present. Hypothetical observers or frames are imagined to exist even where no measurement occurs. Each of these is an attempt to simulate a triangle when the real geometry (mass + coherence + encounter) is missing.

Time as a Local Product

On Earth, humans measure time by the Sun’s apparent motion relative to Earth’s rotation. Even our clocks, mechanical, atomic or digital, are devices built inside Earth’s mass using Earth’s electromagnetic field, registering periodicity against light or atomic oscillation. Dogs and cats do not care what time it is, but they still experience biological rhythms because they live inside the same mass–coherence triangle. The human concept of time is simply the naming of that local geometry.

Termination of Time Outside Encounter

Time is not only local; it is participatory. When the human observer ceases to exist, whether through death or by leaving Earth, the third point of the triangle is gone. Without that point, there is no path to register and therefore no time to measure. Even atomic clocks on satellites are calibrated inside Earth’s geometry. When removed from that triangle, a clock is simply a mechanism oscillating with no universal meaning, it is no longer time; it is only a process.

Example

The Phone Call from Space

While in orbit or deep space, a human can call home and ask, “What time is it in Hoboken?” and get an answer. But when asked, “What time is it where you are?” the only honest answer is: “Mom, where I am time does not exist. When I left Earth I broke the triangle.”

This is not spooky; it is geometry. The Sun, the Earth and the human encounter no longer form a triangle of time.

Aging, however, continues, because aging is a biological process within geometry. Geometry does not stop aging. Time is geometric, not magical.

Anchor Phrase

Time exists only where Sun, Earth and encounter create a triangle. Outside this geometry, there is no time.
