Across repeated perihelion passes, Parker measured only two temperature regimes:
1. Elevated temperatures on the sun-facing shield (~1300–1700°F).

2. Mild, Earth-like temperatures inside and around the spacecraft (~75–85°F).

No independent ambient thermal field was detected.

Manufacture of Heat at the Interface

The heat measured on Parker’s shield was not delivered by the surrounding environment. It was generated locally by the shield’s mass encountering electromagnetic presence it could not resolve. Heat appeared only where resistance, misalignment or structural incompatibility existed.

Why Earth is the Thermal Stage

Earth represents the most complete and sustained expression of thermal dynamics in the solar body. Dense matter, atmosphere, water and chemistry create continuous unresolved encounters with the electromagnetic field. Heat on Earth is therefore both productive and destructive, enabling life, weather, geology and repair.

Contrast with the Sun

The Sun is not thermodynamically active in this way. From the corona through the photosphere, the solar body is thermodynamically silent. Light resolves cleanly. Heat does not accumulate. The Sun maintains coherence; Earth manufactures heat.

Conclusion

Parker did not survive extreme heat. It demonstrated that extreme heat was never present. All thermal temperatures measured were created by Earth-originating mass encountering the Sun’s electromagnetic structure.
