A New Foundation For Understanding Matter

Introduction

This document presents a radical new understanding of the relationship between the EMF and the chemical structure of matter. What is an Ion?

An ion is any atom or molecule with an unequal number of protons and electrons. This imbalance creates a net electrical charge, positive (cation) or negative (anion), which fundamentally changes its relationship to the electromagnetic field. Ions are no longer chemically inert; they are open, coherent structures in flux, awaiting a new state of equilibrium. In the Lilborn Framework, this charged state is not random or unstable. It is a deliberate openness to coherence.

Chemical Bonds as Coherence Events

Traditional chemistry views ionic, covalent and metallic bonds as electron-sharing or transferring mechanisms.
