Astronomy teaches that Earth is habitable because it sits in a so-called “Goldilocks Zone”, a band where solar radiation is neither too hot nor too cold.

This idea implies a smooth gradient: Venus should be Earth-like but hotter, Mars should be Earth-like but cooler.

In reality, neither planet shows any resemblance to Earth. The supposed gradient vanishes as observation.
