E = mc² Has Never Been Proven
To Whom It May Concern,
In light of the recent publication asserting that, for the first time in history, Einstein’s equation E = mc² has been “proven” by observation, we offer the following observation:
Your community has now, at last, admitted publicly that the most foundational assumption in modern physics has never been proven until now, or so is claimed.
This, in and of itself, is a historic statement.
You have taught for over a century that this equation was not only true but settled. It has been cited as proof in classrooms, documentaries, popular books and theoretical models. You have attached this claim to experiments, technologies, and cosmological assertions with the full weight of certainty.
Yet in this very article, you now admit:
It had never been demonstrated until this moment.
More importantly, the claim of this proof rests on a deeply restructured vocabulary. The definitions of light, energy, field, quantum, measurement, magnetic interaction and even the concept of a meter, all have been altered over the last century, stretched and contorted until the framework you now call “physics” no longer even resembles the one from which this equation emerged.
This most recent experiment, regardless of its internal sophistication, is still built upon a series of semantic and ontological manipulations:
* You have not demonstrated that light travels; only that effects register at structured boundaries.
* You have not demonstrated mass becomes energy; only that energy is released when atomic containment fails.
* You have not shown that E = mc² is ontologically correct; only that, within your redefined system of measurement and reinterpretation, something appears to conform.
Yet even with these concessions, your article’s most shocking revelation is not the so-called proof but the confession.
You have stated, implicitly and explicitly, that Einstein’s equation has never, until now, been confirmed.
For a world that believed it was settled science, that statement is seismic.
We do not reject what you saw.
We agree: you observed something.
But what you saw was not mass becoming energy.
You observed a geometric interaction. A containment failure. A photoning event. What you witnessed was matter under stress resolving its structure in a coherent field.
It is not the confirmation of Einstein’s theory.
It is the unintended confession of your system’s collapse.
With respect and with resolve, we submit our response, not in mockery, but in clarity.
The Lilborn Equation (E = mℓ) is not a revision. It is a return to structure. And your experiment, unwittingly, has confirmed it.
